When I say write yourself million dollar check, many may have the first impression that it’s all about money. However, as I said, it had never been about the money, because money is just an idea, and wealth is a habit. In my humble opinion, though it may be power and control to some people, it is mostly about freedom (Financial Freedom, Time Freedom and Geographical Freedom) when it comes to individuals or the mass public. The million dollar figure could be just an anchor or a performance index, which is a subjective matter. It’s just for clearer illustration purpose. Let’s check out the why and the how.

It’s almost the end of Jun 2010. what had you done in the past 6 months that could make your life better?

During the first half of 2010, I personally witnessed and confirmed that the 90/10 rules is true.

While I keep sharing with people about freedom and multiple streams of passive income, it is interesting to see that the reaction from people asre just like what we could found in a marathon - some people started, some persisted, some make it to the end far ahead of others, and too often, many not even started!

It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste!

In this monthly updates with title Assets VS Liabilities, Active VS Passive, Multiple Streams of Passive Income, we will further elaborate on the point “It’s all about cash flow…not capital gains!” in the article Education Takes Times posted in March 2010.

The vocabulary assets, liabilities, active income, passive income, and multiple streams of passive income is important in achieving your ultimate freedom, which include time freedom, geographical freedom and financial freedom.

We will go through a important image illustration in the later section of this updates. Let’s look at some recap since January 2010 first.

1. It takes time to succeed because success is merely the natural reward of taking time to do anything well. Success is a day to day progressive realization towards your own goal.

2. Never invest without knowledge. It’s all about cash flow…not capital gains!

You have to get smarter about money, now. We don’t learn it in school and we don’t learn it in college. There are no get-rich-quick schemes that work. Wealth and security takes education and education takes time.

金钱是一种力量。这种力量最普遍的体现在于它决定了大部分人工作的地点与上下班时间，甚至决定了他们什么时候可以吃午餐。

面对现实生活的逼迫，与挣钱过程中的压力，心酸或无奈，让许多人潜意识中排斥金钱，对金钱持有负面，消极，悲观甚至逃避的态度。

1。是不是潜意识中急于摆脱某种无形的压力与束缚，让人们更容易陷入金钱游戏陷阱中（快速致富诈骗，赌博，非法金钱游戏等）？

2。我尊重并欣赏一群即勤劳又老实的社会劳作者。他们对社会的贡献是值得敬重的。我所关注的是，除了正确的财务教育外（如：农民思想的智慧），是否可以有一个更好、更公平的社会财富/资源分配系统，既可以：

i。奖励为社会创造实体价值与贡献的人们，又可以
ii。减少甚至杜绝好逸恶劳，不事生产的寄生虫，以及
iii。避免权力集中，导致人为的、系统化地掌控，甚至欺压社会某一群体的现象出现

Dear esteemed colleagues and members,

It had been 43 days past the 2010 New Year celebration. What had you done in the past 43 days that could have made your life better? I had made my Resolution 2010: Double The Income, Halves The Works, and is working in achieving this wonderful goal.

If you made a new year resolution of “an article a day” in your content publishing business (i.e. posting just 1 article a day) and do this simple and easily achievable task everyday since first day of 2010, your website would have got 43 articles by now. If each article makes you $0.10 a day in adsense revenue, you are making $4.30 a day now (~ MYR 14.50 a day).

Of course, this could be an over simplified example, but the point here is : Developing a passive residual income will take some perseverance. The steps to getting it done are not difficult, but it requires one thing many people will not put in — consistency.

To further illustrate the point stated above, let’s look at the Law of Large Numbers.

如果我们要成为先进国，一个完善的公共交通服务系统是必要的。在人口稠密的城市地区，类似新加坡、香港、日本等地的地铁与公共巴士系统能带来实质的高经济效益。

完善的公共交通枢纽有系统与有目的的把人口稠密住宅区、商业活动区与娱乐休闲区连接起来，达成一石多鸟的效益：
1。时间效益
2。环保
3。缓和城市交通拥挤
4。经济与金融效益

一个有效率和值得信赖的公共交通系统，不止让人们不用每天浪费时间在上下班的塞车时段（从而可以腾出更多时间从事有生产力的工作、陪伴家人或促进邻里关系），也顺道减轻塞车造成的精神与心理压力。

汽车使用量的减少，让市中心交通拥挤现象可以减低的同时，也减低整体碳排量（可能为未来货币单位铺路），为环保尽一份绵力。

经济与金融效益可以参考的资料：
铁路实际上是在一片土地打开一个通道，这些土地向各行各业的开发者出售，从而将各种各样的生产、加工、贸易活动集中到铁路沿线。正是这种商业活动创造了铁路运输的需求，而这种需求支付了铁路的建设成本和运作成本，并为铁路创造效益。这才是铁路金融的精华。

最重要的是：理论永远是靠人去实践的，实践理论的人有着自己的利益格局，如何将理论的目标与实践者的利益结合在一起，这是伟大的政治家与伟大的思想家之间重要的区别。

在现实社会中，实践从不按照理论的逻辑来发展，因为实践理论的人，永远遵循的是利益的游戏规则。理论对于实践的作用，必须通过符合实践理论的人群所墨守的利益游戏规则才能得以真正实现。
