Law of Large Numbers

Dear esteemed colleagues and members,

It had been 43 days past the 2010 New Year celebration. What had you done in the past 43 days that could have made your life better? I had made my Resolution 2010: Double The Income, Halves The Works, and is working in achieving this wonderful goal.

If you made a new year resolution of “an article a day” in your content publishing business (i.e. posting just 1 article a day) and do this simple and easily achievable task everyday since first day of 2010, your website would have got 43 articles by now. If each article makes you $0.10 a day in adsense revenue, you are making $4.30 a day now (~ MYR 14.50 a day).

Of course, this could be an over simplified example, but the point here is : Developing a passive residual income will take some perseverance. The steps to getting it done are not difficult, but it requires one thing many people will not put in — consistency.

To further illustrate the point stated above, let’s look at the Law of Large Numbers.

Take for example the subject of this email “Double The Income, Halves The Works”. …

How Much Money is Enough ?

Many people say they “need” a lot of money to solve their financial problems/needs.

I quoted the word “need” above because I think the more appopriate word to use is “want”.

How much is “a lot of money” to you? 500,000 ? 1 million ? 5 million ? The more the merrier ?

I say, we don’t need millions to get by our days.
(Matthew 6:26 :
Look at the birds in the sky. They don’t plant or harvest or gather food into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. You are more valuable than they are, aren’t you?
)

Money is an idea, wealth is a habit. To further illustrate, let’s see some case studies.

The Rules of the Game

The first blog article What’s the name of the game? is just to raise some awareness.

Like it or not, we are living in a connected world, and is somehow a part of systems that exist around us.

In sports, whatever games we play, there is always rules to follow in order to win the game.

It’s the same everywhere else, in financial sectors, politics, educations etc.

To win the game, we have few options:

What’s the Name of the Game?

I had been trying to convey the same message to many people for the past few years.

I think it’s time to write it down now.

Let’s start with this simple illustration, say Scenario 1:

I would like to borrow $100,000 from you. Yes, YOU.
No worry, I will pay you some interest on the amount you borrow me, say 5% per annum.
How would I use this money?
Well,I will use it to set up a small company, and employ you (Yes, YOU) to work for me (no worry, I will pay you salary).
The products from the company, I will sell to you (Yes, YOU).

Will you lend me the $100,000 if so?

Hello world!

Seems like it’s time to do some re-organising of my web properties.

I would leave howtze.blogspot.com to only notes and un-organised data.

howtze.com will be my official blog on the thoughts and thinking of mine, in a more organized way.

That’s why I use the theme AndyBlue with Wordpress, as I found it more presentable in a clean and tidy layout.
